Welcome to the Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) setup guide! This guide will walk you through the process of enabling MFA on your account and linking it to your mobile device. MFA is a critical security feature that adds an extra layer of protection to your account by requiring both your password and a code from an authentication app.

Steps to Enable MFA

  1. Log in to Your Account

  2. Navigate to the "My Account" Page

    • Once logged in, go to your profile by selecting your name or avatar in the top-right corner of the page.
    • Click on "My Account" to access your account settings.
  3. Find the "Multi-Factor Authentication" Section

    • Under the "My Account" page, look for the section labeled "Multi Factor Authentication".
    • This section will allow you to set up MFA to enhance your account's security.
  4. Enable MFA

    • In the "Multi-Factor Authentication" section, click on the "Enable" toggle to start the MFA setup process.
    • Click on Add Device Button, below pop up will open.
  5. Select Your Authentication App

    • You will need to have either the Google Authenticator or Microsoft Authenticator app installed on your mobile device. If you haven't installed one of these apps, download it from the App Store (iOS) or Google Play Store (Android).
    • Open your chosen app on your mobile device.
  6. Enter the Device Name

    • In the MFA setup page, you will be prompted to "Put the device name."
    • Enter any name that will help you identify your device easily (e.g., "John's iPhone," "Work Phone," etc.).
  7. Scan the QR Code

    • Open the Google Authenticator or Microsoft Authenticator app on your device.
    • Tap on "Add Device"
    • Choose the option to "Scan QR code".
    • Scan the QR code displayed on the "Multi-Factor Authentication" setup page with your mobile device.
  8. Enter the MFA Code

    • After scanning the QR code, the authentication app will generate a "6-digit MFA code".
    • Enter the 6-digit code from the authenticator app into the provided field on the Multi-Factor Authentication page.

9. Save Your Device

  • Once you've entered the code correctly, click on "Save Device" to complete the MFA setup.
  • Your device is now linked with your account, and MFA will be enabled.
