Commission is calculated for the following roles in Redsky :
- Forwarder
- Booking Agent
- Sales Person
- Consultant
- Backoffice
There are 3 fields where one can add commission percentage. Let’s see the settings first and then we will understand how these settings affect the calculation of commission.
Sales Commission Rate (Security >> System Default >> Accounting >> Sales Commission Rate)
Flat Percentage (Administration >> Sales Commission Mgmt >> Flat % for each Charge Code)
Commissionable Charge (Admin >> Contract >> click on client >> Tab Charge List >> select >> General Ledger and Control Date)
Please refer to the following points which contain the calculation structure of commission in RedSky:
1. In the scenario where Saleperson's commission is configured and the commissionable charge is enabled with X% (as commission percentage), then the calculated commission will be X% of the invoice amount for this charge.
2. In case commissionable charge is enabled without commission percentage, the commission is configured for the selected Salesperson and the Consultant is also commissionable, then:
- Commission will be calculated based on Flat percentage.
- Commission will also be calculated for the Consultant based on partner commissionable percentage, if the commission is enabled for the Consultant.
3. When commissionable charge is enabled without commission percentage, the commission is not configured for the selected Salesperson and the Consultant is commissionable, in this case, the commission line will be created for the Consultant according to the partner commissionable percentage.
4. Commission will not be calculated for charges in case the commissionable charge is not enabled or unticked.
