1. Introduction

Allow to add and manage multiple storage and insurance lines within a service order. 


2. Enabling the Feature

  1. Navigate to System Default >> Default.
  2. Locate Allow Adding Multiple Storage Lines.
  3. Set this option to true to activate the functionality.


3. Adding Multiple Storage & Insurance Lines

  1. Go to Billing Section
    • Open the relevant Service Order and navigate to Billing >> Storage/Valuation.
  2. Add Recurring Billing
    • Click on the “Add Recurring Billing” button.
    • A new section will appear for additional storage and insurance details under Billing >> Storage/Valuation.
  3. Enter Storage & Insurance Information
    • Provide the necessary details:
      • Storage Measurement (e.g., per container, per weight)
      • Rate (retrieved from associated charge types but editable)
      • On-Hand Amount (auto-calculated from work tickets, but can be adjusted)
      • Charge Type (defines the billing method)
      • Billing Cycle (e.g., Monthly, Quarterly)
      • Storage Amount (calculated per unit, based on rate and cycle)
      • Warehouse (select the applicable storage location)
      • Insurance Details (coverage options for stored goods)
  4. Save the Entries
    • Click Save to confirm the storage and insurance details.
    • Repeat steps 2-4 to add multiple entries.


4. Processing Storage Billing

  • Based on the Months To Bill, Storage Out, and Billed Through, the Storage Billing program processes the added records.

  • The system will then generate the Account Line and Invoice accordingly.
