A File Cabinet is usually used to store paper documents in file folders. Similarly, in RedSky it is available to store documents related to the shipment. You can have the same in the Header-icons.
It is accessible while opening a valid record. Once you open the record and click on the file cabinet icon it will show the list of documents:
The list has the following details:-
Document type
Description
Size
Uploaded on
Uploaded by
Email Status
Portal access – C portal, Acc portal, and Partner portal
Action
The document can be reviewed by clicking on Description.
TO UPLOAD THE DOCUMENT IN THE FILE CABINET:
To upload a document in the file cabinet there is an Upload button on the Document list page which will open a form, where you can fill in the details of the Document type, Description, and Map.
The file can also be uploaded by the “Drag and drop” option. Simply, select the file drag the same to the cabinet box
Note - You can upload the document of size up to 5 MB.
While uploading the document we can also set up the Access control of the document for the following:
Portal Access Control can be given to:-
Customer
Account
Partner
This means this document can be accessed through the above portal also.
Network Access control can be given to:
OA
NA
DA
SOA
SDA
To Edit, Split, or Remove the document from file cabinet:
Three actions can be taken using the Action column has the drop-down with three options available which are as:
Edit- With this option Document type, Map and description can be edited.
Split- Through split, PDF can be split to Trans Doc.
Remove- Will remove the document.
The documents removed from the Documents list will be added to Waste Basket. So that if later one you realize that you need that document again so you can restore the same.
To get back the removed documents
Removed documents can be recovered through the “Recover” option in the "Waste Basket" tab.
Notes Usage
In RedSky, Notes are available to give any feedback, follow-ups, and general notes regarding shipment. Notes are available at the Customer file page, SO page, Ticket, Status, Claims, and also at the Domestic page.
To add Notes
Simply click on the notes icons available on the Right-hand side on different pages. A new form pop up will be opened as below, you need to fill in the details and subject of note
Added notes can be displayed on different forms and portals. The following options are:
- Survey form
- Ticket form
- Customer portal
- Account portal
- Partner portal
Notes can be emailed to the specific person to whom you would to send as a notification by email option.
Link to file cabinet:
Notes can be linked to the file cabinet; in this functionality, we can also link any document which is available in the file cabinet of that particular shipment. For this, we just need to click the button available with the name “Link to file cabinet”. This option will be available with the saved notes only. By clicking this, a new window will open with the list of documents that are already available in the File Cabinet.

Notes follow up at Activity Management:
Notes option can also be made available in the Activity Management, through the follow-up option.
We can set the date, time user and reminder according to follow up and click on “Set Follow Up”.
This follow-up will be added to the activity management>>Follow up of the related person.
