Storage Billing Group

On the Storage Billing page (Finance → Storage Billing) there is a possibility to include or exclude groups from the Storage Billing process.

Storage Billing

To be able to include or exclude Storage Billing Groups from the Storage Billing, these groups need to be created after which the accounts need to be linked to these groups. This document provides an overview on how to create Storage Billing Groups and linking accounts to these groups.

Creating Storage Billing Group

Storage Billing Groups are created by filling the refmaster BILLGRP. To access the refmaster, click “Administration” followed by “Reference”.

Use the search field to look up the refmaster BILLGRP.

By clicking “View List”  you can access the Refmaster.

To create a new Bill Group, click the Add button. The Reference Detail page will appear.

On this page, we can label the Bill group by filling the field “Code” with the chosen name of the Bill Group. The “Description” field is used for a brief description of the group. This description will be shown in the dropdown.

Clicking the save button will create the Bill group.

NOTE: The created Bill groups cannot be deleted. Editing the created Bill group is possible.

Adding Bill Groups to Accounts

When the refmaster is filled with the Bill groups, the accounts can be linked to these groups. This is done on the partner level.

Search the account and click “Edit”.

The Account can be linked to a Storage Billing Group in the “Accounting Default” section on the “Additional Info”  tab.

In the dropdown, select the correct Billing Group and click Save.

After saving the Storage Billing Group is added to the Parent account. To add the group to the Child accounts as well, click the button “Update Child Accounts”. A pop-up will appear.

Select Storage Billing Group and click Update. The Child Accounts are updated and the Storage Billing Group can be used in the Storage Billing Process.
